The Affordable Care Act made many changes to Medicare. For example:
- if you have Medicare prescription drug coverage with a coverage gap (“donut hole”), the gap is reduced over several years to make Rx drugs more affordable
- if you have Original Medicare, you will now be able to get a yearly wellness exam and most preventative services for free
- doctors, hospitals and Medicare Advantage Plans will have new incentives to improve the quality of care you receive
- and more
